PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Surgical assistant to full time staff members of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the resident staff.
Provide surgical support to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon chairside. Should be able to perform a wide variety of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures with competency.

Take, develop and label radiographs appropriately
Sterilize instrumentation and prepare tray setups. Setup required instrumentation in sterile environment
Maintain all logs necessary for inspections and certifications
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma. Accredited dental assisting program certification is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION: Pennsylvania certification in Oral Radiology is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years experience preferred.
Experience in an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of medical terminology and experience in dealing with medically compromised individuals.
