This position will oversee 2 locations; Riverside and Coon Rapids Dental Clinics.

We have an exciting full time position for a Supervisor in Dental. This leader will support 2 dental sites; Riverside in Minneapolis and Coon Rapids. They will provide leadership, and effective administration of daily clinic operations within two clinics. They will support team members in the delivery of outstanding patient care and service and work in collaboration with the regional manager and the chief of professional services as a cohesive management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an effective, consistent role model of service excellence, exemplifying respect, compassion and responsiveness to all team members and patients.

  • Responsible for overseeing staff including having the authority to hire, onboard, reward and recognize, review work performance, promote, transfer, lay off, and conduct employee discipline and discharge.

  • Conduct staff rounding to foster purposeful conversations that focus on positives, as well as important aspects of the work group and patient care.

  • Hold self and staff accountable to meeting high standards of service for all patients and members.

  • Actively listen and resolve patients/members/families concerns about their care or service, seeking to understand each situation through the eyes of the patient.

  • Collaborate with staff on identifying trends affecting patient satisfaction, and execute plans for improvement and service recovery.

  • Develop, implement and evaluate the annual budget and annual plan for areas of responsibility.

  • Act as a responsible steward of resources including staff, supplies, time and property.

  • Liaison with Payroll, Dental Accounting, Human Resources, Member services and other departments as needed.

  • Develop agendas and facilitate clinic meetings to gather input and provide feedback to team members regarding care initiatives, outcomes and clinic financial standing.

  • Use data and quality management tools and measures, to monitor best practices, standards, and outcomes of care.

  • Attain and continue to improve on the organizations Mission, Vision and Values.

  • Oversee physical clinic facilities to ensure the overall safety of team members and patients.

  • Participate in, coordinate and/or attend community events such as health fairs, or community parades, as a representative of HealthPartners Dental Group.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management or Business, with a minimum of two years supervisory/leadership experience; preferably in a healthcare setting or four years of supervisory/leadership experience in a healthcare.

  • Ability to use adaptive leadership styles relative to the needs of the staff or situation.

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to plan and utilize time effectively to accomplish multiple high priority objectives.

  • Ability to gather and analyze data effectively to understand critical factors and undertake appropriate problem-solving activities.

  • Evidence of strong Intercultural competence.

VIEW JOBS 8/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-14T00:00 GENERAL SUMMARY The Government Programs Supervisor will coach and motivate Care Coordinators as they assist Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) members telephonically. The Care Coordinator Supervisor will hire employees and assist in the training process to ensure every Care Coordinator is well prepared for calls. This position will support Care Coordinators after training by monitoring their progress, ensuring they understand and meet expectations, answering questions, and provide ongoing coaching opportunities. A qualified candidate will be analytical, supportive, communicative, attentive, and prepared to act a resource to Care Coordinators. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Hire, train, and prepare Care Coordinators to respond to member questions and complaints and troubleshoot problems * Provide leadership, direction, and hands-on management to a team of Care Coordinators * Partner with Operations Leaders, HR, Training and Quality to develop and execute on hiring and training needs * Ensure all scheduling requirements are addressed in partnership with Workforce Management and tracked including team meetings, training and other off-line work for support center staff * Ensure Care Coordinators understand and comply with all objectives, performance standards, and policies * Answer Care Coordinator questions regarding best practices or difficult calls * Identify operational issues and suggesting possible improvements * Monitor and evaluate Care Coordination performance, providing learning or coaching opportunities, and taking corrective action, if necessary * Prepare reports and analyze data to assist management as they determine Care Coordinator goals * Work with management to support agents and maximize customer satisfaction REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * High level of dedication, enthusiasm, motivation, and persuasive ability in a team and cross-functional environment * Knowledge and experience with Minnesota Government Programs * Proven leadership abilities as demonstrated by the capacity to influence customers and team members in support of business initiatives * Self-starting and motivating, able to manage multiple priorities and aggressive timelines * Ability to communicate effectively and motivate a team * Demonstrated collaboration, influence management, and negotiation skills * Intermediate to advanced skills with contact center technology * Ability to create reporting and conduct analysis of data and information, providing operational insight to the business * Ability to create strong partnerships across the business * Ability to probe and look past symptoms to identify underlying causes of issues and opportunities REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent, but education, especially in management, is preferred * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * Strong understanding of company products, policies, and services * Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees and evaluate their performance * Excellent problem solving, leadership, and customer service skills * Analytical, efficient, and thorough * Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations * Operational experience in a high-volume call center environment * Call center, customer service, or supervisory experience * Proficiency with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Experience with Minnesota Health Care Programs WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position primarily works at a desk when working at Delta Dental of Minnesota. This position may experience frequent interruptions and a large volume of work within constrictive time frames.
