Dental Receptionist

Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.52 Hourly

Summary:

Assist Dental Staff by performing front office duties in the Dental Office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives public and patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Registers dental patients and assigns all new patients a medical chart.
• Obtains patient financial eligibility data.
• Enters visits in encounter control log.
• Schedules and confirms dental appointments.
• Answers dental office telephone.
• Responsible for collecting payment of fees, documenting such on log and balancing of cash till at end of each day.
• Follows up on no-shows and cancellations.
• Assists in explanation of dental treatment plans under the direction of dental assistant.
• Actively participates in the Quality Management Program.
• Actively participates in the Infection Control Program, Safety Program, and Emergency Preparedness Program.
• Responsible for following all Agency safety and health standards, regulations, procedures, policies, and practices.
• Performs other duties, as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year experience in dental office.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Ability to work well with the public.
• High school graduate.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
