Job Description:


Network Liaison will be responsible for managing Aetna Dental Provider Networks and support efforts for all dental products in each assigned market to achieve business goals.

Fundamental Components:

  • Serve as the Liaison with both the Primary Care and Specialist Dentists in a specific geographic territory.

  • Responsibilities will include the overall maintenance and territory management of the provider network; they will serve as a subject matter expert and demonstrate a strong understanding of Aetna's Dental Products and market position.

  • Liaison will negotiate contract language and provider compensation, review quality and service reports with the provider and appropriate staff, contact Dental providers regarding quality reviews conducted where unacceptable results were obtained.

  • Timely response to correspondence from Provider offices, included, but not limited to termination requests, tax id changes, hold requests, claim reimbursement, system, directory accuracy and various contractual issues. Document resolution and follow through to all parties.

  • Must be able to present DHMO and PPO plan designs, compensation process, claim/encounter submission and referral policies during new office orientations and reorientations via the telephone.

  • Liaison must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the competitive market and Aetna's relevant competitive position, to include member appointment access.

  • Presentation of Aetna's electronic capabilities for dental providers to achieve companies goals and targets, promote all EDI initiatives. Special Ad Hoc Project as assigned.


  • 3-5 years experience in dental managed care environment dealing with dental providers.

  • Knowledge of dental terminology and CDT coding.

  • Contract and fee negotiation experience.

  • Some Dental office experience is helpful.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

Telework Specifications:

This is a Full-Time Telework position, preferably in FL or PA. Training period in the office may be required.

This is a full-time position 19422. The Dental Office Manager we hire will have a minimum of 1 - 2 years' experience managing a dental office; knowledge of insurance; and exceptional customer service skills. Responsibilities This unique individual will oversee the daily operations of the dental office by managing employee relations, patient relations, and achieving operational goals. They will also be responsible for office profit & loss by managing patient scheduling, staff productivity, collections and receivables, and miscellaneous operations expenses. Additional responsibilities include stimulating new patient growth by supporting sales, marketing and promotional programs. Administrative tasks such as financial report review, bank deposits, revenue posting, and staff payroll and bonus are a part of the operational responsibilities. * Achieves revenue goals by effectively managing patient scheduling, staff productivity, collections and receivables, specialty referral process, and miscellaneous operations expenses. * Manages office within budget guidelines to include clerical and auxiliary supply purchases, equipment upgrades, labs and labor costs. * Increases and stimulates new patient growth by supporting sales, marketing and promotional programs. * Recruits, hires and develops office teams capable of providing best in class patient care. * Directly supervises office teams and proactively manages their performance and development including but not limited to performance feedback, appraisals, and corrective actions. * Communicates with office teams regularly to ensure they have the information, tools, and support needed to perform their jobs effectively and successfully. * Completes administrative tasks, such as flash report review, bank deposits, revenue posting, staff payroll and bonus, accounts receivable reports and invoice processing correctly and within deadline. * Maintains patient data to include required regulatory chart documents, personal information, treatment consultation documentation, account history transactions and electronic QSI data. * Manages and assists designated office team members with appropriate payment and insurance processes. * Maintains facilities and equipment cleanliness and safety and reports and/or corrects hazards when necessary in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including OSHA. * Ensures flawless execution of operational standards, including compliance with established company policies, procedures, and government regulations. * Responds to doctor, patient and employee grievances, complaints, and inquiries and seeks assistance when necessary. * Continually works towards building and sustaining a joined leadership work environment with doctors. * Performs other duties as assigned.
