2 years of college and four years of related experience with at least three years of dental assisting experience. Dental Assistant Certification, EDDA certification, or equivalent training in implant dentistry is required. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade NE1. Wage Minimum $17.84/hour
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Dental Assistant and with an electronic health record database. Nationally certified Dental Assistant, EDDA Certified, and certified Dental Radiology preferred. General knowledge of Oral Hygiene and radiation safety.
The University of Louisville School of Dentistry prepares students for a career in Dentistry. Programs are available at the DMD level in general dentistry and the Masters level in endodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and prosthodontics. Dental Clinic Staff facilitate the interface between student providers and their patients during while delivering care within the clinics. All dental clinic support staff directly support the work of the students as they progress towards completion of their clinical requirements.
$1000 sign-on/retention bonus available to those who qualify
This position is responsible for the ordering and inventorying of implant parts and materials as well as assisting residents with surgical procedures in the operating room.
Works with faculty, peers and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care within the Grad Oral Surgery Clinic.
Order and inventory implants, implant parts and bone graft material as needed for clinic procedures.
Verify insurance and review benefits with patients.
Review treatment plans and associated payment plans with patients.
Schedule patients for surgery.
Assist residents during surgical procedures.
Support the front desk and the back office as needed.
Maintains HIPPA, OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
