Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida is looking for an experienced and
dedicated Dental Hygienist to work in our Lehigh Acres Dental Office.

The primary function of the Dental Hygienist is to examine, chart, take
radiographic surveys, and perform periodontal therapies on patients. Our
Hygienists are assigned their own Dental Assistants to maximize their
productivity, and we have a compensation model that is second to none, including
incentives, a pension plan, 9 paid holidays, and more!! Our offices are open
Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform initial intra and extra-oral exam of the hard and
    soft tissue.

  • Document/chart existing restoration, carious lesions and
    any other findings.

  • Complete health history with blood pressure.

  • Perform periodontal therapies, periodontal health
    instruction.

  • Perform screening examinations for school children.

  • Sterilization of instruments and maintenance of equipment
    is handled by a dedicated technician for you.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Manual dexterity and use of proper instrumentation in
    the performance of dental therapies.

  • Good patient and staff rapport.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent training and
    experience.

  • A two or four year degree of Dental Hygiene from an
    accredited institution.

  • Florida Board of Dentistry license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual skills English/Spanish preferred.
