We are looking for a Dental Hygienist for our affiliated practice, Dental Associates of Northern Virginia

  • Tysons Corner, located in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This is a full-time position. Recent Hygienist (RDH) grads with an active Hygiene license for the state of Virginia and CPR license are welcome to apply;candidates need to have an X-ray and Local Anesthesia license in the state of Virginia! At Dental Associates of Northern Virginia we have been working diligently to ensure all our patients and staff feel safe and protected while in our office. We now have Plexi-glass Barriers in the reception area and in selected clinical areas. We have all the proper PPE for the staff and are CDC COVID-19 compliant.


Essential responsibilities include:

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times

  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.

  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.

  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.

  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.

  • Other duties as required


Desired Skills:

  • Hygiene license for the state of Virginia, required

  • Active CPR certification, required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

This position will be based out of Vienna, VA but allows for telework. This role is responsible for managing a Partnership team tasked with executing clinical activities across all aspects of the program including: engineering workflows and system design, support to testing activities, support to training content development and support to a complex deployment model deploying by Wave across all military locations. This role monitors all activities and reports out on a regular basis to Leadership on status, risks, mitigations and active planning for future Waves. Additionally, this role oversees the aggregation and incorporation of dental tasks in proposals, ROMS and budget development Works with team in the analysis, formulation, development and delivery of engagement material and results. Plans, develops, and maintains engagement project and program plans. Individuals in this job family will have regular interaction with members of the Partnership as well as staff from the government PMO and service facilities. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). As part of the engagement team, helps establish and recommend changes to processes to continue to optimize the electronic health record design. The individual is responsible for client satisfaction and quality of services delivered. Some barrier-to-entry (I.e. dept/peer review) exist at this level.
