Required Skills

  • Ability to educate patients on their unique oral health needs and desires.

  • Perform all hygiene clinical procedures to include prophy, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning, sealants, fluoride, intra-oral camera

  • Communicate with doctor as to patients possible areas for restorative, periodontal and needs

  • Partner with the whole team to assist in whatever is required for an excellent patient experience

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients

  • An interest in growing and developing skills

  • A desire to embrace preventative centered care

  • CPR certified

Required Experience

  • A current state license to practice dental hygiene (RDH)

Responsibilities * Evaluates overall oral health, examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers, including sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions. * Documents dental history or chief complaint; records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate; documents lab procedures and ensures follow up on results. * Follows through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist. Procedures may include: Prophylaxis, Periodontal Scaling, Root Planing, Debridement, Application of Fluoride Treatments, and Application of Protective Sealants. * Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients.
