JOB SUMMARY The Dental Assistant provides chair-side clinical assistance and clerical support services as directed by the Dentist.# They are responsible for performing dietary analysis for dental disease control, demonstrating to patients the placement, and removing of prostheses, appliances, and retainers, and providing oral health instructions.# The Dental Assistant will take impressions of study casts and take/expose and process radiographs.# Under the direct supervision of the Dentist, they will perform intra-oral procedures and be responsible for sterilizing and maintaining equipment. # JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION A High School diploma or equivalent required Dental Assistant Certification preferred A Maine Dental Radiography license is required within 6 months of the date of hire BLS certification preferred EXPERIENCE 1-3 years past dental assistant experience preferred Experience with Dentrix or another EDR preferred OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED Medical terminology preferred Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required Excellent customer relations skills Ability to handle multiple priorities at once Ability to work with small children and young adults # Covenant Health Mission Statement We are a Catholic health ministry, providing healing and care for the whole person, in service to all in our communities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
A High School diploma or equivalent required
Dental Assistant Certification preferred
