We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dental team in the
Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill.

Our offices are passionate about delivering a positive experience for our patients.As a Dental Assistant for the Department of Corrections, you will work with our experienced Dentists to provide basic dental services, in a compassionate and professional manner, to our inmate population.
You will be assisting a Dentist during the examination and treatment of patients, scheduling appointments and managing daily patient flow, maintaining dental records, providing chair side assistance, maintaining dental office equipment and performing dental laboratory procedures.

This position is 37.50 hours per week.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
This position is subject to the promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum.
Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $31,394.00 (before taxes).

Graduation from high school and one year of experience in a dental office or clinic;
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: An employee in this class who is performing radiologic (x-ray) procedures in a dental office or clinic will be to required to take and pass the Pennsylvania Auxiliary Radiologic Procedures Examination as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
