Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant in the Orthodontics Department for the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). The primary role of the Dental Assistant position is to support the Orthodontics Department by providing chair-side assistance and all clinic related duties for quality patient care.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Assists orthodontic faculty and students (post-graduate and pre-doctoral) as needed by seating patients, adjusting chairs, draping patients with protective covers and other related functions.
Prepares instruments in treatment area and positions instruments for provider's access (suctioning, passing instruments, etc.).
Assists the department with the delivery of information to the patient, including but not limited to, patient treatment contracts.
Exposes and develops radiograph; prints/copies radiographs as requested by, faculty, students or management.
Prepares instruments for sterilization, delivers instruments to be sterilized, retrieves and stocks sterilized instruments.
Maintains dental supply inventory in the clinic area by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies and places requests/orders by following departmental protocol.

VIEW JOBS The Department of Radiation Oncology of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in partnership with the RWJ Barnabas Health system, is seeking board certified or board eligible, academically oriented medical physicist candidates at the Assistant to Associate Professor level. Experience with conventional radiotherapy, 3-D and IMRT treatment planning, high and low dose rate brachytherapy are required. Knowledge of Linac operations and functions, knowledge of various special procedures (external beam and brachytherapy) is also required. Preference of consideration will be given to candidates who have clinical experience and have completed a CAMPEP accredited residency program.The Department of Radiation Oncology is a strong and growing academic department, which provides a broad range of cutting edge clinical services in radiation oncology. In the department, there is a radiation oncology residency program, and a CAMPEP accredited medical physics residency program as well as a CAMPEP accredited medical physics certificate program.
