  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

  • Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment

  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays)

  • Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment

  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures

  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

  • Perform various office tasks as necessary

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Daily work is directed by the daily needs of the Christmas Campaign as determined by the Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator in coordination with the Seasonal Bell Office Staff. Responsibilities * Deliver kettle stands and counter kettles to assigned locations as well as pick up at the end of the season. * Assists with daily bell-ringing activities in coordination with the Bell Office seasonal staff such as delivery and pickup of kettles for bell ringers needing assistance. * Pickup and delivery tasks to support seasonal events such as Toys for Tots, Thanksgiving and Christmas donations as directed. * Other tasks related to daily Christmas operations. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High School Diploma or GED Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver's license, with clearance to drive from The Salvation Army's insurance carrier. Skills: * Ability to drive a variety of vehicles including vans and box truck. * Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and/or situations. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions. * Must demonstrate ability to exercise sound judgment and to appropriately represent The Salvation Army.
