OverviewMain Street Children's Dentistry is looking to add on another full-time Dental Assistant for our pediatric office located in Clermont. We are looking for Dental Assistant candidates who are x-ray certified in the state of Florida and would prefer for them to have at least 1+ years hands on dental assisting experience. We offer full benefits, PTO & paid holidays!Hours: Tues-Thursday 9-5pm Fridays 8-2pmResponsibilities* Prepare treatment room for patients by setting up equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and following specific procedures. * Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient. * Promptly and accurately answer patient and employee questions regarding dental procedures, appointments, and general inquiries. * Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments. * Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth. * Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts. * Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations. Clean and polish removable appliances. * Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. * Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions. * Record dental care services in patient charts. * Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. * Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations. * Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees. * Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. * Contribute to team efforts by achieving required results promptly. * Other duties as assigned.#JANQualificationsRequired Skills: * Possess a valid X-ray license as required for the role. * Experience working as a Dental AssistantAt DCA we don't just accept differences - we celebrate them and recognize the value this brings to our patients and employees.
