Dental Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental receptionist duties and possess knowledge in various dental procedures and medical documentation. Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

• Set up and prepare treatment rooms for procedures

• Take and develop dental x-rays (medical imaging)

• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

• Conduct various laboratory tasks including making impressions of patients' teeth

• Document patient care and treatment plans using Dentrix or similar systems

• Maintain dental supplies inventory and ensure equipment is properly sterilized

• Schedule patient appointments and assist with billing and coding Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a related role is preferred

• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures such as prosthodontics, endodontics, etc.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding
