Position Overview

As a Demand Planning Team Lead for End to End Supply Chain, you will assume responsibility either for multiple customer accounts or for one major customer account (i.e. one of the top three customers for C&S), from an ad management and turn forecasting perspective. In this role, you will be accountable for managing the customer relationship from all aspects of ad demand planning as well as working with internal partners, such as Procurement teams, to ensure that service and inventory targets are met. You will also be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of data-driven business solutions and optimization initiatives to support service level and inventory value targets. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new processes, technologies, and organizational plans/realignments.


  • Responsible for leading and coaching a team of 8-10 salaried and hourly personnel to achieve service level, leftover ad, and over pull goals as put forth by department management.

  • Proactively manage the end to end promotional ad process, including forecasting and distribution management.

  • Serve as the primary customer interface for all ad, turn, and distribution-related matters for multiple small customers or one major customer or a combination of both.

  • Report past, current, and future promotional activity and results to internal/external correspondents and senior management to help drive future improvements.

  • Develop and enhance business reporting tools, identify opportunities to optimize systems, processes, efficiencies within Procurement, and support implementation of solutions.

  • Participate in cross-functional team projects, as needed.

  • Work approximately 4 weekend days per year, with some flexibility during holiday periods.

  • Additional tasks as defined/required.

  • Some travel as needed (less than 25%).


  • Associate's degree or equivalent

  • Two to three years' business experience

  • One to two years' C&S or related experience

  • Functional knowledge of statistical forecasting; retail forecasting experience

  • Previous experience managing direct reports

  • High-level intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; data analysis experience

  • Able to work independently

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-14T00:00 The Global Demand Planning Analyst is a key driver of the development and delivery of Demand and Supply forecasting to support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This individual is responsible for performing critical analysis and preparing advanced reporting for business planning and management reviews. The person must have a strong analytical background and be capable of providing meaningful and actionable information utilizing several different types of data. Information needs to be accurate and detailed enough to facilitate effective decision-making. Information will balance product demand, component supply, and factory capacity; integrates financial and operational plans, and links high-level strategic plans with the operational plans and capabilities. Responsibilities include: * Ongoing focus will be to work with the Sales and operations teams to assist with the following actions: * Ownership of Strategic Business Units (SBU) based Demand deliverables in Actuation Technologies Global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. * Works with the Actuation Technologies Sales Organization, Projects Managers and Demand Managers throughout different world areas to identify and define short, medium and long-term product demand by market segment, geographical segmentation and kind of business. * Works with various functions to establish a secure and reliable process for gathering and analyzing this data, which meets the business need for not only speed, reliability and accuracy, but also, market, kind of business and geographical segmentation. * Prepares S&OP forecast to support the monthly management business reviews * Creates, monitors, and maintains S&OP metrics and key performance indicators, identifying potential risks and opportunities * Maintains a constant review of data gathering, processing systems and processes. * Continually develops and improves models, systems and processes to meet business needs and requirements. * Works with operations and supply chain management to ensure that information being gathered and processed is coherent with their needs and requirements * Presents and provides demand forecasts as well as background and detail regarding demand forecasts in order to contribute as required to S&OP decision-making. * Develops and maintains appropriate models/history to interpret dollar forecasts into product unit forecasts and disseminate them to world area manufacturing facilities. * Develops and maintains a history / database of demand information and statistics that will facilitate a better understanding of this information and more sophisticated / accurate demand forecasting and planning. * Assists the SBU leaders in breaking down Bookings data and interpreting Sales trends * May be required to perform other duties as assigned Requirements * Minimum four-year degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business Marketing or a similar technical field. * Must have two to four years' experience in Forecasting or Demand Planning, along with operational experience.
