As the Demand Planning Manager, you are responsible for developing demand forecasts, establishing and managing enterprise consensus forecasts, ensuring proper inventory builds to support customer fill rate targets, and collaborate as a liaison for Supply with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing demand forecasts as basis for supply chain activities for entire organization.

  • Establish and manage enterprise consensus forecasts for assigned brands and business units at stock-keeping-unit (SKU) level.

  • Analyze and evaluate consumer and trade promotions, run rates, and trends in seasonality, using demand planning software and independent judgment to achieve business alignment.

  • Using demand planning software and trend / variance root cause analysis, make demand planning corrective actions and improvements, as well as obsolescence management recommendations.

  • Own network balancing across multiple Logistic Centers to ensure target order fill rate to all customers.

  • Keep total inventory within target days of supply to effectively manage net working capital commitments.

  • Lead decision-making process for demand planning with all cross-functional teams.

  • Lead monthly demand planning meetings with Trade Marketing and Brand Teams.

  • Collaborate as senior liaison on all supply-related matters with Sales, Marketing, Production Planning and Customer Service departments.

  • Report on supply and demand-related issues and recommendations to senior management. Tools used include Demantra, LMS, JDE and Proclarity.

  • Lead a team of Demand and Inventory Planners with continuous succession and development objectives.

  • Involves domestic travel for 2-5 days per trip, 8-10 times a year.

  • Supply Chain Professional: You have a minimum of 5 years' post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in supply chain/planning/operations /logistics management role within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or related industry. You have experience with SKU rationalization process/models and demand planning system(s) such as MFG/PRO, Proclarity, LMS, JDE, APO, or Demantra.

  • College graduate: You have a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics, operations, supply chain management or a related field.

Desired Qualifications * Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive healthcare marketing leadership experience with demonstrable success. Animal health, veterinary marketing experience is preferred. * Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business or relevant major. MBA is preferred. * Excellent understanding of science-based marketing and the marketing process. * Proven ability to develop and deliver best in class integrated marketing plans and programs to address a dynamic market. * Experience in managing a broad portfolio of products. * Experience in solving complex problems, managing challenging situations (i.e. supply interruptions/backorders). * Strong analytical acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and gaps across the portfolio. * Ability to favorably influence people without direct authority.
