Demand Planner

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Demand Planner is responsible for demand forecasting and business analysis activities. This person will serve as a link between merchandising and supply chain to ensure alignment between plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops and maintains promotional demand forecasts down to item level.

• Develop and maintain new items and base demand for existing items.

• Reviews tactical demand trends and adjusts forecast inputs and outputs as needed.

• Collaborates during consensus demand meetings with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on forecasts.

• Resolves accurate forecasts for replenishment, promotional sales, new item forecasting and planning and for the forecast accuracy for assigned categories.

• Recognizes trends or patterns and adjusting forecasts as necessary.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Demand Planning or similar role with emphasis on data analysis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

• Working knowledge of the following areas desirable: business principles, supply chain processes, Microsoft Access and Excel, DOMO, SQL, VBA, and other applicable software applications.

• Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent problem solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills

• Adaptable, resourceful and forward thinking

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular computer work, and sitting

• Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
