As a Demand & Orders Manager, you are accountable for managing and stabilizing supply and demand within facilities reporting up through a business division, or unit. This position ensures that material is available and flows according to the production schedule and develops the constrained S&OP forecast, aligning tactics with the long-term product capacity.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:


  • The position manages a work unit of primarily management/professional employees. Direct Reports include facility Master Schedulers and Production Schedulers.

  • This position identifies areas/projects requiring attention, training & development priorities, identifies work plans for staff and monitors progress.

  • The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.

Sales & Operations Planning:

  • Incumbent leads facility Sales and Operations Planning efforts for two prime product lines (MHE & STTT). Plays a key role in S&OP process quality assurance and compliance to deadlines.

  • Analyzes industry trends, assesses risks and identifies opportunities.

  • In addition, the incumbent ensures robust capacity and constraint management is used in the development of master production plans. This will involve collaboration with the BCP Velocity Team in determine prime product allocations for MHE & STTT.

  • Provides availability administration including demand management, special order programs, responding to critical deals, quoting delivery for special projects, etc

  • Leads efforts to optimize product mix in short supply based on margin, forecasts, and other priorities.

  • Incumbent is a key facility sponsor and collaborates with multiple teams to stock Product Distribution Centers with material according to the product lane strategy.

Master Production Schedules:

  • The incumbent leads the development of the master production plan to accommodate customer demand within practical production capabilities and analyzes and integrates information about efficient manufacturing and appropriate inventory levels to achieve objectives.

  • This position maximizes customer satisfaction through order administration.

  • Incumbent is accountable for analysis and development of complex attachment forecasts (for two prime product production lines MHE & STTT) utilizing the latest tools available to compensate for changes in dealer ordering behavior.

  • This position works closely with cross functional teams to support any New Product Introductions (NPI) and plays a key role in managing the phase in/phase out schedule plans for NPI.

POSITION IMPACTS: Incumbent is responsible for achieving PQVC targets across Sales & Operations Planning, Product Availability, Demand Variation, NPI Metrics.

Additional Notes: Moderate travel required (10 -15%)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 5 years supply chain or related experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills

  • Experience in master scheduling

  • Experience using common scheduling, forecasting and demand planning tools

  • Familiarity with company manufacturing facilities, processes, and equipment

  • Advanced product knowledge of prime products and attachments

  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of economic conditions and markets

  • Experience in Global Purchasing, Manufacturing, Marketing or Supply Chain desired

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired
