Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary

This Demand Management Specialist role will be responsible for forecasting and planning service parts and materials through the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) System. Maintain parts and materials master data and bill of materials to accurately plan and execute MRP. Maintain new No Charge Part (NCP) process to support customer escalated accessory support. Analyze parts inventories for maximum customer product repair support while minimizing inventory levels to meet product service and repair requirements. Order parts from available/best cost/delivery efficient internal and external resources. Maintain analytical and reporting systems to monitor quantity and timing of usage. Initiate parts into inventory for new product introduction and discontinue models at end of forecasted product life. Maintains and trains users of service parts inventory processes within SAP business enterprise system. Function as point of contact for service parts purchasing; inventory management, order status, time of delivery, and NCP ticket FOC order creation and review.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Utilize return forecast and usage rate to plan materials through the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) System.

  • Minimizes sales opportunity loss and cost in supply chain by operating strategic supply forecast considering the lead time based on market demand analysis.

  • Maximizes SCM operation efficiency by building mid and long-term resource management strategy

  • Analyze inventory levels based upon parts usage, lead-time to delivery and current balance on-hand and future demands. Utilize existing tracking and reporting systems to track and monitor all service parts activity. Monitors parts usage to determine need for changes to inventory levels, order quantity. Develop and maintain new reports in Business Warehouse and SAP as necessary.

  • Interfaces with vendors and customers on a daily basis to ensure parts orders are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures that all interested parties are kept abreast of service parts information, parts availability, order status, shipments, tracking shipment deliveries, stock levels, etc. that affect product service repairs.

  • Develop and Create reports on key performance metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

  • Prepares and create service parts Purchase Orders. Tracks orders and shipping status. Modifies and maintains entries. Monitors and analyzes service parts inventories against open parts purchase orders within the SAP system.

  • Researches, resolves and takes action to correct errors, changes in parts inventory levels, part specifications, part functional failures, abnormalities, etc. as required.

  • Participates in SEA's engineering and product change process in support of customer orders, order backlog, product inventory and installed base and recommends appropriate actions to ensure that all activities are rolled into the production and shipping plans as required.

  • As required, coordinates the return, repair and disposition of materials at SEA and SEC. Monitors the aging of these RMA's to ensure expeditious return of materials to the customer.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and a minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience using ERP systems, inventory, forecasting, purchasing, order management, and/or advanced supply chain planning functionality required

  • SAP and ERP knowledge/ experience and APICS certification in Materials Resource Planning preferred but not required

  • Korean bilingual (fluency writing and speaking) preferred but not required

  • Demonstrated abilities in telecommunications or office products parts resourcing, planning, researching and ordering utilizing a SAP or similar business enterprise system for purchasing and inventory control

  • Read write and verbal communications skills to prepare and present plans and information to product repair, vendors and purchasing management personnel

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel skills to include v Look ups and pivot tables, Word, and Access

  • Strong organization and project management skills

  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with various levels within the company and with various customer levels

  • The ability to gather data, organize, plan and prioritize multiple assignments and information

  • The ability to read, write, prepare comprehensive spreadsheets and present documents, reports, charts, materials and related information.

  • Demonstrated English language competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external communications at various levels.

  • Work under general supervision and guidance from manager to identify and ensure achievement of production team goals and to complete individual assignments within established time frames.

  • The demonstrated ability to solve problems requiring creativity to search for solutions among learned experiences. Work is guided by objectives and broad functional direction. Some analysis and judgement is required to determine appropriate courses of action.

  • Up to 10% travel required as needed (international or domestic)

  • The ability to flex work hours to some evening hours as needed to collaborate with international team members
