DESCRIPTION:

The Demand Forecaster/Deployment Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for producing store level unit forecasts, establishing unique store-level size curves for all planned choices and deploying finished goods from distribution center to stores for a specific book of business. The D&D Analyst will also be a liaison between stores, logistics and other cross functional partners. They will utilize several business applications including, but not limited to: JDA Allocation, Manugistics Demand, SPARK and MicroStrategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver budgeted sales and margin by ensuring inventory levels align with store customer preferences enabling plan sell-thru

  • Forecast basic and/or fashion PINK apparel or intimate apparel at the store level.

  • Formulate inventory deployment strategy, taking into account constraints and inputs, such as inventory levels by store cluster (tiering), timing of merchandise delivery, minimum presentation and distribution of sizes to support merchandise sales plans

  • Develop and articulate fact-based analytical approach to forecast decisions, monitor results and action necessary forecasting and deployment adjustments with exceptional change agility

  • Perform size level analysis and create size curves for each planned choice

  • Work with Logistics partners to resolve external constraints that impact inventory flow to distribution centers and stores

  • Collaborate with the Merchandise Planner and Merchant partners to prioritize flow of product in light of inventory constraints

  • Work collaboratively across multiple functions and departments within the organization.

  • Support and execute to testing strategies, category specific initiatives and ad-hoc analysis.

  • Support inventory management between digital and store channels

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of inventory management and/or store analysis experience

  • Experience in high volume, fast paced, specialty/big box retail environment or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and interact collaboratively, working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and collaborate on best alternatives

  • Strong analytical skills ability to analyze and understand quantitative data

  • Moderate technical skill proficiency (PC-based) using advanced functions in Excel and Access; demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software technology. Systems used: JDA Allocation, Manugistics Demand, SAP, SPARK and MicroStrategy

  • Ability to be a team player and to foster a commitment to teamwork among other associates.

In addition to hands on testing and functional SME, this role involves frequent collaboration with IT and business leaders on projects to ensure effective planning, communication, and issue resolution. The position reports administratively to a QA Manager and has no direct reports. L Brands utilizes an onshore / offshore model to support testing activities, and this role will require frequent collaboration across shores.
