As a summer intern on our Real Estate, Workplace Strategy & Design Team, you will be part of a team that's responsible for the development of design strategies for existing offices and newly requested/acquired offices within Deloitte's real estate portfolio, as well providing support for broader real estate strategic initiatives. If you're an outside-the-box thinker who enjoys exploring how strategy, real estate & workplace design, and technology help shape the future of the Deloitte US, then you may be the right fit for the role.

Work you'll do

The intern will assist our Workplace Strategy and Design team with research, design reviews, and project application of design guidelines to internal Deloitte projects, working in conjunction with Deloitte's external architectural firms. Throughout your internship, you'll work closely with all members of the Workplace Strategy and Design team who will mentor and guide you throughout the course of the program. Other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with Deloitte's internal workplace strategy and design team members to support direct project design review and coordination with external architects

  • Day to day account work, which includes but is not limited to:

o Research on industry products (furniture, finish, architectural, etc.)

o Application and trend data

o Generational perspective and future of work

o Project support and guideline updates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in progress in interior design or architecture

  • Strong academic track record (3.2 GPA or higher)

  • Coursework that includes space planning, design principles, and design concept development and application

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The applicant must possess strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of the organization regarding sensitive information.

  • Strong background in Microsoft Office platforms

  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work with virtual teams and across cultural boundaries is required

  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Prior interior design internships

Work you'll do The Transformation team is looking for an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Summer Associate to support the design, implementation, and evolution of change strategies and plans to engage, inspire, and motivate people to embrace the significant changes that are required to drive the business forward. The OCM Summer Associate will work with senior business leaders to understand their needs and address them through executable strategic change initiatives. We are looking for someone with strong change management and communication abilities who has deep experience in creatively managing change within complex organizations. You will be assisting managers and senior managers in the Transformation group who support Finance strategic initiatives. These initiatives are high visibility projects sponsored by the Deloitte CFO and leadership team to help Finance achieve its long-term goals.
