Our company is seeking a delivery driver who can take on the responsibility of transporting products to our most valued customers. As a representative of the company, the delivery driver must maintain a friendly and professional appearance and attitude. You must be able to safely navigate through various areas of the region in a timely fashion. As the point of contact for customers, you may field questions about the products or work to resolve possible problems. You will report back to management and communicate customer issues to get a satisfying resolution.Job Responsibilities
  • Drive a delivery truck while following all necessary traffic and DOT regulations, ensuring that products are transported safely.
  • Load and unload customer orders by checking the inventory order database in order to maximize time, accuracy and efficiency during the delivery process.
  • Deliver product orders to customers while demonstrating a personable and positive attitude.
  • Communicate with management or other team members when a problem arises, such as traffic, an accident or a missing or inaccurate order.
  • Collect payments from customers as products are delivered by check, credit card or cash and maintain an accurate daily log of all money coming in.
  • Resolve customer complaints as they come up and answer questions about product concerns when bringing new supply to clients.
  • Lift large boxes of up to 50 pounds in the warehouse and into loading area while keeping up with a demanding schedule.
  • Maintain a flawless driving record while representing the company with no tickets, at-fault accidents or incidents.
Job Skills & QualificationsRequired
  • Experience as a delivery truck driver
  • Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and an ability to read maps
  • Ability to lift 35-45 pounds on a frequent basis and on occasion up to 70 pounds
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned service center
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Top communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools
  • Previous driving and material handling experience is a plus.

VIEW JOBS 1/13/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-04-13T00:00 Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is Now Hiring Outlook / VMI Technician w/CDL in San Francisco, CA GENERAL SUMMARY: The OUTLOOK® VMI Technician will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the OUTLOOK® Service Model to include ordering, deliveries and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs, establishing safe handling practices, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiating & executing cost reduction programs, and reporting and day-to-day customer interface at customer locations as established by the branch. Included is the ability to increase the number of Sku's we provide the customer. Provide feedback to the branch and account manager on observations and customer activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. * First point of contact with Airgas customers for all welding hard goods and safety supplies related issues regarding Vending Machines and Vendor Managed Inventory bins. * Conducts and coordinates area customer VMI program including delivery of product, restocking and re-supply as necessary. * Provides Branch Manager with monthly reporting of VMI program. * Enters orders in SAP and researches products as necessary. * Follows up on back orders; insures great customer service. * Works as a team with Account Manager to maintain continuity in pricing strategies for each account. * Prospects leads given by Salesmen and Area Sales Manager and develops own sales leads. * Face to face customer contact - ask for additional orders, initiate additional sales by identifying possible system product additions or off system orders. * Qualifies customer leads and gathers intelligence in the field. Closes deals if possible or turns to senior sales staff for follow up. * Orders product to ensure proper inventory levels are met. Communicates inventory requirements and changes to supporting branch. * Manages inventory levels to customer requirements for Vending and VMI. * Determine Min/Max levels based on delivery cycle and customer stock level requirements. * Monitor customer usage and suggest adjustments to product levels to ensure maximum efficiency and product turn. Monitors inventory levels at customer sites. * Communicate customer concerns and questions to proper Airgas personnel. * General vehicle maintenance of Airgas Sprint Van for Hardgoods. * Completes all paperwork in accordance with Airgas standards. * Approve new delivery points for accessibility and safety. * Maintain VMI System by cleaning, organizing and re-labeling bins. Organizes production additions and deletions. * Provides emergency response support for the area. * Perform first level repair and troubleshooting of VMI equipment. * All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. Required Education: * High school diploma or the equivalent, five years related experience and/or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Length and Type of Experience: * Minimum of one to three years of experience in an industrial retail, inside sales, customer service and/or inventory control related position. * Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities preferred. * Hold a valid CDL Class B license with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): * Proficiency with entering and extracting data into and from a computer. Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines and with little supervision and to complete a high volume of paperwork accurately and on time. * Ability to handle cash transactions accurately. * Ability to clearly communicate by via phone, email or in person with customers, sales staff, Branch Manager and all the other branch personnel. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. * Basic computer skills (i.e. Window Applications). * Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. * May be required to operate a forklift in the warehouse. * Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets. * Must be able to work occasional overtime, when necessary. * Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
