Delivery Supervisor

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone safety-focused with strong communication and team-building skills to join our team as a Delivery Supervisor. ABOUT THE POSITION

Delivery Supervisors function as part of the Delivery Department and are responsible for managing driver performance and safety.

In this role you will:

• Manage Driver Safety by coaching for safety and ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA

• Manager Delivery Department Assets by ensuring inspections, coordinating preventative maintenance, and maintaining driver coverage

• Manage Driver Reporting via data collection and meeting with the Dispatch team for team assignment and performance assessments

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of prior experience in a driver manager role or dispatching

• Experience in a customer service-based position

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Outstanding customer service skills

• Ability to obtain forklift certification

• Safe driving record

• Minimum 21 years of age

• High School diploma or equivalent

SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS MAY INCLUDE:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking to meet customers' needs

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to organize and independently manage time

• CDL Preferred

RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE: Dispatcher, Logistics Coordinator, Driving Instructor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This position:

• operates in an indoor office environment with a controlled climate and will work in an outside setting with exposure to heat and cold.
• will spend time outside in the yard and on the trucks with drivers
• requires sitting at a computer desk for long periods of time with constant use of a computer keyboard while reading the computer screen.
• will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication and continuously use hands to type.
• will occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• requires travel to other company and customer locations where normal auto hazards apply.
