Job Description

Page Hardware & Appliance Co. is looking for appliance delivery people to join our team. Give our customers a positive last impression of their appliance purchases by providing exceptional delivery experiences.

Deliver major appliances to customer homes in Connecticut with a partner or alone. Make simple connections, like dryer venting and range plugs. Call customers in advance of deliveries.

Explain basic appliance operations to customers. Shifts depend upon demand (30-40 hours/wk), includes some Saturday shifts. 7:30AM start time, variable end time.

Requirements

The desire to satisfy customers with a superior delivery experience Common sense, problem-solving skills, politeness, and a positive attitude Current, valid driver's license with clean record (no alcohol-related violations) Consistent observation of traffic laws and speed limits Conservative appearance Punctuality, especially for 7:30AM shift start time Ability to accurately use a tape measure Ability to lift 80lbs or more on a regular basis and to effectively use a hand truck with a partner Must be able to pass a drug test and background check Delivery, assembly, installation, or carpentry experience a plus
