Primary Purpose:
Provide quality and timely support to the District's educational, maintenance, and extracurricular programs by leading warehouse staff and maintaining a well-stocked, rapid response warehousing and delivery operation.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Class C Texas driver's license and proof of insurability with the District insurance carrier
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to perform basic math accurately and quickly
Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of automated inventory and materials handling systems
Proficient keyboarding, computer, office equipment, and file maintenance skills
Minimum Experience
Four years warehouse operations experience, preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Receiving, Storage, and Inventory
Oversee clerical functions, including: processing orders, maintaining stock, and processing mail.
Ensure work orders and deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
Oversee the storage of all food and non-food supplies, equipment and consumable materials.
Maintain office equipment and supplies, and provide training for warehouse staff as directed.
Ensure the supply area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
Reports and Records
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, inventory records and other documents as required.
Maintain computer records related to shipping and receiving.
Other
Exhibit behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible, and serve as role model for staff and public.
Respond in a timely manner when contacted regarding urgent situations or emergencies (during or outside of normal business hours).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety
Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals, two-way radio, multi-line phone system, copier, fax machine; small hand tools; medium to heavy duty truck with standard shift transmission, pallet jack, electric and gas powered forklifts, two and four wheel dollies
Posture: Standing, sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions, keyboarding, and use of mouse; frequent walking, climbing stairs and ladders and scaffolding; grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; visual acuity to distinguish basic colors; driving variety of vehicles; operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and assorted dollies; operating lift gates on heavy to medium duty trucks.
Lifting: Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds without assistance, 30-55 pounds with assistance, and more than 55 pounds with appropriate assistance
Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, and vibration; work around moving objects and vehicles; work with frequent interruptions
