H-E-B's Transportation Division supports distribution by transporting products from warehouses to our 400+ retail Stores. Our Transportation Partners ship an average 12,000 deliveries per week and travel 72 million miles each year to ensure our Stores are stocked and our supply chain keeps moving all over Texas and Mexico.As Delivery Fleet Maintenance Mgr, you'll lead H-E-B fleet maintenance and rolling assets management programs, focusing on maintaining a safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet. You interact daily with vendors, technicians, Fleet Maintenance and Transportation Safety department team members, drivers, and Operations leadership.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. What is the work?Management / Maintenance:- Supports a team of exempt and hourly Partners- Monitors / adjusts requirements to ensure equipment availability while meeting daily facility performance expectations- Takes an active role in developing skills and awareness of Operations Partners- Addresses performance and services that do not meet expectations (non-H-E-B service providers)- Monitors / evaluates key performance indicators for daily and weekly team performance; measures against goals, gets team buy-in, provides feedback to the team- Implements / maintains a fleet management system and a rolling asset maintenance program- Monitors / manages equipment condition, quality of work, recordkeeping- Ensures compliance with rolling asset-related local, state, or federal requirements for maintenance and recordkeeping; ensures periodic audits of rolling assets- Maintains compliance-related documents and files; documents measurements through SOPs in compliance with OSHA and H-E-B guidelines- Collaborates with Operations, Fleet Maintenance, and Procurement on equipment specification, design, purchase- Works with service and maintenance providers (e.g. dealers, independent shops, fuel and wash facilities)- Meets with Operations leadership to understand collective needs and priorities- Manages service recovery efforts; tracks / resolves customer complaints; identifies trends and provides feedback

Training / Coaching:- Operates / trains a service team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations- Provides guidance and training for technicians, drivers, Operations teams, and FMS users- Engages with Partners and service providers daily; clearly explains roles, expectations, and performance measurements for each critical component that impacts business outcomes- Provides learning and growth opportunities- Follows established SOPs; ensures Partners are trained and in compliance- Maintains / promotes an environment of trust and respect where Partners and Leaders work together as a team to accomplish goals and objectives
