The Role

At Tesla, our Delivery Experience Specialists (DES) I are our brand ambassadors, supporting our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy by creating memorable experiences for our customers and assisting with delivery day activities. The DES I will support customers from the moment they arrive onsite. Our Specialists are on the front lines and responsible for warmly welcoming our new owners for delivery day, greeting them with a smile and offering hospitality. We've created one of the most innovative vehicles ever made, and we're looking for positive and reliable team members to help deliver an equally innovative delivery experience for our valued customers.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to Tesla and create a warm greeting upon check in

  • Connect customers with a DES II (delivery bay host)

  • Answer first level delivery related questions

  • Transport delivery documents from delivery bay to contracts team for validation and completion

  • Understand when a customer situation is escalating and partner with management

  • Provide additional support to the delivery team when needed

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all current and future owners on delivery day to ensure satisfaction and a great customer experience

  • Demonstrate and act on the core values of customer service: proactive, professional, personal, and passionate

  • Work closely with other employees to ensure smooth transitions for customers toward a successful delivery appointment

Requirements

  • Customer service experience required

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and with a diverse range of personalities

  • Evidence of a strong team mentality and reliability

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to grow into a mastery of all Tesla products and services, and the ability to keep up with EV industry trends and local incentives

  • Evidence of enthusiasm and passion about accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable and safe driving record

  • Employees in this state in this role must have or obtain appropriate licensing for Motor Vehicle Sales. Tesla will provide guidance and monetary assistance in obtaining licenses. Licensing process must be initiated by the third week of employment. Failure to obtain a license by the second month of employment will result in termination.

RESPONSIBILITIES * Support and develop the transaction and customer experience by overseeing and elevating the core components and performance standards of a hosting a customer appointment * Develop and refine the experience from the moment the customer walks into the door until the moment the customer exits * Help drive Tesla education through learning experiences on and after delivery day * Drive sales through promotion of customer service, product knowledge, and merchandise presentation * Work cross functionally with Operations and Vehicle teams to implement all experiential and operational policies and procedures in order to satisfy the needs of customers * Drive the proper communication channels for escalation management toward resolution * Lead recruiting and interviewing of candidates who possess the skills necessary to help achieve company goals * Oversee the training and development of Delivery Customer Experience Specialists to consistently perform to company standards * Review and act on customer feedback * Plan, implement, and follow up on the learning gallery's operational tasks, product updates, and marketing material management * Control gallery expenses, including staff planning, allocation of labor supplies, and services * Adhere to processes regarding merchandise display and physical inventory * Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both inside and outside the company * Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth customer transitions from pre-delivery to delivery day to post-delivery * Develop Delivery Customer Experience Specialists through coaching and performance management * Hold the Delivery Customer Experience Specialists accountable to complete administrative tasks required during the delivery process * Perform additional tasks as requested by management * Perform the roles and responsibilities of all customer-facing positions within the Delivery Hub/Center REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, and, 3-6 years work experience in retail or service operations in a fast-paced environment * Self-starter who possesses exceptional time management skills and has great attention to detail * Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization * Passionate dedication and ethical approach to management and operations * Ability to develop collaborative relationships.
