Job Description

Functions include but are not limited to the following. Must be able to move freely between tasks depending on work load, season, etc.

• Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company's policies and procedures.

• Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required.

• Drive company vehicles/power operated equipment (forklifts/pallet jacks) to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.

• Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.

• Make deliveries on assigned routes within predetermined delivery windows.

• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.

• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material.

• Provide assistance at warehouse if needed. Assist customers, ask pertinent questions, provide information they may need. o Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability.

• Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders and providing excellent customer service.

• Report back orders or discrepancies to dispatch or inventory personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1-year commercial driving experience

SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21+ years of age

• Valid Class A with a "clean" driving record

• Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.

• Must pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)

Pay Range: $24.50-$25.50, and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
