We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Transportation Department as a Delivery Driver. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Transportation Team with objectives including:
Safe and timely delivery and unloading of products to customers within an assigned route
Strict adherence to DOT Regulations and Nicholas and Company Safety Policies

Flexibility is key; team members should be open to working voluntary and mandatory extra hours and to working at a fast pace.
Our trucks includes dry, cooler and freezer storage. Well provide your uniform and appropriate shoes, but be prepared to work in temperatures as low as -10.
This position is physically demanding. It will require you to lift, bend, and navigate heavy product down a ramp repetitively during your route
On a normal day/night you might:
Perform pre-trip and post-trip in accordance with DOT regulations and Company procedures
Operate PeopleNet computer to track stops and location
Safely operate and deliver product within assigned route schedule using hand cart or by hand
Transport product on ramps, stairs and/or docks
Place product in designated customer delivery area
Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem solving skills; report customer issues immediately
Obey all traffic rules and immediately report accidents or damage; report repair issues immediately
Immediately notify supervisor/sales etc. for any delivery variance via PeopleNet
Maintain sanitary conditions and meet standard hygiene requirements
Check invoices for credit terms at each stop and collect funds when needed
Collect, sign, and correctly code all invoices
Turn in reconciliation sheet along with collected funds and invoices to Driver Check-In on a daily basis
On some days/nights you might:
Operate a tractor trailer in traffic and in variable weather conditions
Participate in formalized training and successfully pass evaluations
Must be flexible to travel and work both night and day routes
An ideal Transportation team member:
Is at least 21 years old
Possesses a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with clean MVR (no more than one ticket)
Meets all DOT requirements and possess current medical card
Has one year of commercial driving experience
Is able to read, write and communicate with internal team members and customers as it relates to the job and to safety regulations
Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to lift 20-100 lbs. repetitively
Hourly Pay Rate:
$18.00-$21.00 per hour plus incentive after training
Hourly pay rate is determined by location
