Delivery Driver

The driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to the company client base.

• The position is primarily a driver position requiring local and some out of state travel with overnight stays
• Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage
• Document and log work/rest periods
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Deliver and pick company equipment and supplies to company work sites
• Perform assigned duties at the company warehouse and work sites
• Communicate with managers to identify equipment in need of maintenance
• Ensure appropriate safety measures are followed

Requirements

• The position requires a background check and drug screening
• Demonstrated proficiency in route operations
• Must be capable of strapping down and securing your own loads
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting to achieve company goals
• Candidate should be able to read and understand basic safety instructions
• Capable of working overtime
• Fork lift experience preferred
• Able to lift-up to 75Ibs
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk

Required licenses:

• Valid Class C Driver’s License as required
• Must be over 21 years of age to operate company vehicles
• Fork lift license preferred

Education Requirements

• High school or equivalent

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Wearing of safety clothing and equipment may at times be required
