Purpose of Role:

All Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products customers need. As a Delivery Coordinator, this means:

  • Coordinating and supporting deliveries from beginning to end, serving as the expert for answering questions and solving problems related to deliveries.

  • Tracking and ensuring merchandise is accurately accounted for, handled, and delivered.

  • Gathering detailed information from customers and conducting safety reviews.

The Delivery Coordinator plays a critical role as gatekeeper and final reviewer of every delivery to ensure our drivers have the necessary information to make a safe delivery and that the needs of our customer have been met. Although some time will be spent physically helping with deliveries, time will also be spent within the system tracking and looking up item availability for deliveries. To be successful, the associate must maintain strong customer, colleague, and vendor relationships, and have a strong knowledge of safety protocols and proper delivery procedures.

Travel Requirements:
This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.

Requirements:

  • Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.

  • Requires morning, afternoon and evening availability any day of the week.

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

  • Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months of delivery experience, for example in a warehouse or retail environment OR 6 months of retail customer service experience.

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience working in a retail store OR customer service position.
  • 3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
  • 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, deliveries, or installs.

If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this position.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.) * Provide feedback to the Promotions Supervisor and Marketing Manager on the effectiveness of promotional programs * Oversees operation of promotions to ensure successful execution of programs. * Establishes and maintains working relationship with other departments to secure cooperation for assistance with promotions. * Effectively communicates all promotions to the property teams, which includes the creation and distribution of guidelines, reference materials, and promotional schedules. * Work directly with the Promotions Supervisor to collect and submit all necessary promotions paperwork for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) * Provide outstanding customer service to guests * Ability to work very flexible hours including nights and weekends * Entry of data from monthly mailers and other promotional programs * Entry of promotional builds using software for promotional kiosks and player tracking system * Handle guest inquiries related to direct mail in a pleasant and professional manner * Follow and complete a quality control check list for all direct mail projects and casino promotions * Verify counts by segment and validate offers to matrix * Redemption of offers as needed * Perform other related duties as may be assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of team members as well as outside contacts. * Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation. * Ability to use computer keyboard. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of marketing and promotional concepts required. Understanding of the casino industry helpful. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in Marketing, as well as through two years' experience in promotion, advertising, or equivalent. REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations: * Attend required training sessions offered by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City. * Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. * Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. * Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department. * Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance. * Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
