To lead, facilitate, and ensure that Just Save's guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the deli/bakery department.
Responsibilities Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department through leadership guidance of the Asst.-manager.
Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies. Lead and guide the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs. Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Just Save standards.
Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Just Save standards. Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards through guidance of the Asst.-manager. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Perform PA announcements.
Qualifications Friendly, outgoing personality. Ability to work well with others. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and direction. Knowledge of deli/bakery operations. Ability to supervise people including training and development.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Effective communication, guest service and selling skills. Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser. Ability to work well with computers.
