Pay: $13.80 per hour
Under the direction of the Store Manager, supervises the daily activities of a busy deli. Responsible for the daily operation of the deli. Executes job expectations in a manner that meets financial targets, creates positive guest experiences, and fosters a productive and enjoyable working environment.
Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
Sets a good example. Must consistently adhere to company and department policies and procedures including: attendance, uniform, grooming, productivity, team work and customer service.
Responsible for ensuring the store delivers excellent customer service. Assists with setting customer service goals. Ensures that service guidelines are practiced consistently. Coaches and monitors employee adherence to service guidelines. Promptly deals with any guest complaints and resolves them through established dispute resolution procedures. Responsible for the store's customer service ratings.
Ensures that the deli is clean, sanitary and safe. Develops, monitors and enforces cleaning procedures. Responsible for the results of Salt Lake Health Department Inspections and internal cleaning audits. Enforces department safety policies.
Assists with store inventory control. Writes Sysco orders. Assists with monthly deli inventory. Assists with retail inventory. Receives Sysco and other retail deliveries using established procedures. Ensures proper rotation of deli inventory. Develops, implements and enforces a portion control system to ensure that deli financial targets are met.
Responsible for deli prep supervision. Develops and implements procedures for completing par levels of prep each day. Monitors completion of prep by employees and rewards or disciplines based on employee performance. Coaches employees to ensure consistently prepared product.
Responsible for up to 8 employees. Monitors, enforces, disciplines and rewards employee performance regarding attendance, dress & grooming, adherence to policies & procedures, productivity, customer service and team work. Assists in developing and implementing a planned approach to rewarding and coaching employees.
Performs various tasks as assigned by the Store Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the store.
Travel: Occasional travel to/from resort.
Education & Experience Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Food Handler Permit
Skills & Knowledge
Reading, writing and arithmetic with accuracy in counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, Stratton Warren, Micros, MS Word and Excel.
Safely operate a meat slicer and other kitchen appliances.
Ability to conduct inventories and write orders.
Exercise judgment in accordance with company and department policies and procedures.
Multi-task and prioritize work activities.
Work effectively with the Store Manager and the store supervisory team.
Delegate tasks to store employees as necessary.
Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.
Specific Shift: Will be scheduled for various shifts between the hours of 7:30 am - 9:30pm
Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
