Responsibilities

As an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the Deli Department Manager II ensures the successful operation of the department by obtaining maximum sales and gross profits through effective utilization of personnel and resources available. Duties include accurate recordkeeping, customer service, employee relations, labor, gross profit, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, controlling freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise, and providing front end support by running a register, bagging or carrying out groceries.

Responsible for directing and coordinating the ordering, receiving, merchandising, pricing, freshness, housekeeping of work, display and storage areas, food safety and safety programs. Directing staff to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.

Qualifications

The Deli Department Manager II position requires an Associate's Degree, or two to four years of experience, preferably in a retail environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One to two years of previous managerial experience is preferred.

This position requires the need to provide exceptional customer service by treating all customers and co-workers with dignity and respect. Must be self-motivated, energetic and customer service oriented.

SCOPE OF POSITION: This position is responsible for the management of plant capital projects and planning. This position is responsible for the supervision of a Process/Project Engineer direct report. This position is responsible for analyzing process and package systems in order to develop, recommend and execute improvement plans that support on-going cost reduction, efficiency improvements, safety and quality enhancement strategies in a continuous improvement environment. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify waste, redundancy, process bottlenecks, safety issues, and other operational inefficiencies. Propose and develop solutions to these operational challenges. * Provide technical and functional expertise to operations personnel in an effort to improve performance and resolve chronic equipment issues. * Prepare capital project proposal documentation and submit for approval to senior leadership. * Delegate capital projects to the Project/Process Engineer upon approval and assist as needed. Meet project cost, schedule, and objectives utilizing a mix of external contractors and internal maintenance personnel. * Execute strategies in an environment of conflicting expectations, fluctuating plans, and cost constraints. * Conduct engineering studies to test and validate technologies, equipment, and processes * Understand code compliance, power distribution, industrial automation, and other electrical systems. Be familiar with basic building codes, safety standards, and other relevant engineering information. * Understand FDA regulations and how they are enforced in the food industry. * Be able to read and create process flow diagrams, equipment installation/layout drawings, ammonia system P&IDs, construction prints, instrumentation diagrams, electrical one line diagrams, PLC ladder code, and other basic engineering documents. * Prepare equipment specifications, scopes of work, construction & installation contracts, bid documents, project schedules, cost & payback analysis, and capital appropriation requests. * Understand basic ergonomic design related to food manufacturing environment during development of assigned projects. * Develop and execute a long term site-specific capital plan. * Develop a yearly capital budget and forecast by month. Provide Monthly reports to senior engineering leadership on current progress with project-specific reports on large capital projects. * Communicate with the finance team on construction in progress (CIP), capital and expense projections by month. * Annual asset registry audits and asset valuation upon project closures.CAPABILITIES: * Computer Knowledge – Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Allen Bradley/Rockwell proficiency/familiarity required.
