Description:

Oracle Dyn's Defensive Network Operations Manager is responsible for leading Oracle Dyn's Defensive Operations team in the operating and building various components of our DDoS mitigation infrastructure. Job responsibilities include daily task and incident handling, project and team coordination and contributing to daily operational duties. The defensive operations team will be responsible for protecting all facets of the OCI Edge Network inclusive of Dyn Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and eventual Operational integration of our commercial WAF and DDoS offerings.

Job Responsibilities

Lead a highly skilled team responsible for mitigation, perform threat modeling, and communicate threats to our products and services.

Monitor critical systems and services to advise of potential outages or degradations of service

Identify and develop areas where automation and development can improve efficiency of team

Work as an operational counterpart for DDoS Mitigation, Edge Operations and Network Engineering teams

Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies

Coordinate projects and staff to ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations

Cultivate talent and grow a world class Defensive Operations team.

Perform other duties as assigned / requested.

Background
5-10 years of job experience leading technical teams with a focus on Networking and/or Network Security

The ability to support, troubleshoot, repair, and build distributed, fault tolerant systems.

Hardware Systems: Arbor TMS and SP appliances, Juniper Routers, Switches, and Firewalls; various other devices.

Familiarity with contemporary project management methodologies

Self driven, team player, with good communication and documentation skills who can contribute to the department by facilitating cross functional training.
