Defense Systems Acquisition Specialist
Develop, coordinate, tailor, and successfully complete required acquisition program information, status reviews, or Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) for defense acquisition programs in compliance with applicable DoD, component, and policies to ensure successful program execution through the Defense Acquisition Framework. Develop acquisition strategies and plans, requests for proposals (RFPs), and technical evaluations, provide source selection and contract management support, and prepare, process, and review program acquisition documents to ensure compliance with established processes and policies for milestone decisions. Develop, coordinate, tailor, and successfully complete Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk Management Plan (RMP) throughout a program's different milestones.
5 years of experience with the applications and implementations of acquisition programs using DoD 5000 series directives and instructions
Experience in working the program capability requirements process within the acquisition process, successfully supporting program decision reviews and milestones
Knowledge of the requirements within each acquisition program milestones, including MS (A), MS (B), and MS (C)
Knowledge of maintaining Microsoft Project schedules
Ability to work with supervision to coordinate defense acquisition materials
Active Secret clearance
BA or BS degree required
Knowledge of risk management principles
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Level I Certification or higher or Program Management Certification (PMP) a plus
