The Default Loan Servicing Team Lead will support the default loan servicing specialists who handle borrower outbound call, inquiries and handle escalation calls when needed. Assist the specialist in loan modification presentations and ensure that the department remains in compliance. Assist with department training and procedure/policy review. Perform other duties or task as needed.
Make collection calls for past due closed end residential loans in accordance with CFPB regulations and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/FHA/USDA/VA and GNMA guidelines.
Mail customer letters and modification packages in accordance with regulations and company policies.
Complete financial analysis and underwriting necessary to evaluate modification options for borrowers. Prepare loan presentations recommending loan workouts, charge-offs and downgrades for management review. Manage a portfolio of delinquent loans over 30 days past due.
Support the default loan servicing specialists who handle borrower outbound call, inquiries and handle escalation calls when needed. 3-5 year's experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 1 year financial analysis or underwriting experience.
Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
Experience with some combination of loss mitigation, collection calls or working knowledge of the residential mortgage loan industry preferred
The ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with firm deadlines is essential.
Working knowledge of the FIS system a plus.
Clear understanding of bankruptcy laws.
