What you'll do?

  • Manage and analyze invalid deductions and short payments on invoices paid including promotional discounts, off-invoice discounts, scanbacks/MCBs, logistics charges, etc.

  • Work with company's customers to seek repayment from the customer.

  • Recording of invoice payments into accounting system.

  • Research invoice discrepancies.

  • Perform root cause analysis to identify the source of deduction, and work with internal personnel and/or the customer to prevent recurrence.

  • Communicate with sales teams on a regular basis to review program accruals and promotions and outstanding invalid balances.

  • Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers.

  • Support the accounting and reconciliation of various customer trade programs.

  • Analyze and provide data to identify trends for management review.

What Qualifications/skills do you bring?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required (Finance preferred)

  • Experience in Sales Customer Management environment preferred

  • Accounting (A/R) background

  • Strong Software experience

  • MS Office products. Excel proficiency is a MUST

  • Attention to detail is critical

  • Ability to interact with employees, customers and brokers in a positive and professional manner

  • Ability to take ownership over projects

  • Able to work independently with little supervision

  • Ability to calculate and analyze figures

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong oral and written skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Experience in Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)

  • Experience dealing with Distributors, Retailers and/or Brokers (Preferred)

SUMMARY OF JOB:     The Community Relations Senior Analyst will support the Senior Director Community Relations, the Senior Manager of Community Relations and the Community Relations team. The CR Analyst will provide research support and data analysis, will track developments in our communities and will help ensure effective communication, outreach and engagement strategies for Company leaders to key stakeholders in the communities in which we operate. The CR Senior Analyst will assist in developing tools, processes, and systems to support Company leaders in their community relations work.   ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   * Contribute to the development of strategies, practices, and tools in support of Company leadership’s outreach and engagement to key stakeholders in our mountain resort communities on a wide variety of issues relating to resort operations and long-range community planning * Analyze policy proposals, research studies, and other relevant materials to identify emerging issues, evaluate potential impact on the Company’s resort objectives, and recommend engagement and outreach strategies to the Community Relations team * Contribute to a data-driven system to monitor the Company’s engagement efforts and report key findings * Contribute to specific projects, track and follow up on assigned tasks, and meet project deadlines * Monitor county commission, town council, planning and environmental boards and commission agendas and meeting minutes/videos for relevant Vail Resorts or community relations topics * Monitor related social media accounts for relevant Vail Resorts or community relations topics * Monitor news reports related to Vail Resorts, individual resort communities, local communities and relevant issues (e.g. “minimum wage”) and prepare daily news clips to CR team * Conduct research and prepare fact sheets related to data that helps support resort-based CR teams CR objectives * Perform other duties as assigned   Other Requirements:   * Experience conducting research, analysis and otherwise contributing to complex projects and supporting successful program outcomes, development, and expansion * Understanding of the unique issues facing mountain resort communities, including affordable housing, land use, transit, seasonal economies, and other long-range community planning issues * Creative, high-energy, and positive team player who seizes new opportunities * An agile and flexible thinker, with the ability to quickly learn new areas of the business * An adept written and verbal communicator, capable of distilling complex information into concise summaries supporting thoughtful, well-reasoned recommendations * Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional service to team members and other Company stakeholders * Strong organizational and time management skills * Demonstrated ability to work under high pressure conditions and to successfully handle urgent situations with patience and diplomacy * A resourceful self-starter, results and success-oriented, with the ability to ensure timely follow through by company employees * Willingness to travel to the company’s various resorts, including some overnight travel * Ability to ski or ride * Must have a passion for the resort communities in which we operate and the company mission of providing the "experience of a lifetime" We offer a variety of career opportunities at our world-class resorts and corporate headquarters near Boulder, Colorado in fields like Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Public Affairs & Sustainability, Marketing, Sales & Communications and more.
