JOB TITLE: Dedicated Operations Manager

REPORTS TO: Sr Manager of Dedicated Solutions

OVERVIEW OF ROLE: As a Dedicated Operations Manager for Ward Trucking you will be tasked with managing customer accounts, hiring drivers, and developing a full-service solution. Our Dedicated Division provides customers with exclusive use of Ward equipment and drivers within the Mid Atlantic, helping businesses achieve their supply chain goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating and managing scheduling for Ward's dedicated customers

• Being available and on-call for Ward drivers and customer needs

• Optimizing schedules daily and or as needed

• Holding an onsite presence at the customer's location(s) - build and developing a strong relationship

• Partnering with sales and customer service to schedule deliveries; working cross-functionally within Ward to service accounts and grow business

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous transportation management experience in a dedicated environment preferred

• Ability to be on-call during driver work hours (7 days a week)

• Experience with load planning and driver management

• Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.)

• Understanding and knowledge of DOT regulations

• Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to represent the Company in a positive, professional manner

• Strong organizational skills

• Knowledge of McLeod TMS preferred, but not required
