The Declassification Analyst I conducts declassification review and analysis of classified government information relating principally to nuclear weapon related technology and naval nuclear propulsion systems. This work takes place primarily at the National Declassification Center (College Park, MD) in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE Office of Classification procedures for Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD), and National Security Information (NSI) technical areas such as:
Requirements
MUST possess an active DOE Q clearance or an active DOD Top Secret clearance
MUST pass a pre-employment skills assessment test
This is an entry level position and training is provided.
Although this position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, physical science, or nuclear science from an accredited university or college, graduates of the Navy Nuclear Power School are urged to apply independent of their academic major. Individuals with any other relevant experience in nuclear weapon or nuclear reactor technology will also be strongly considered.
