Deck Supervisor - Mid-County Ymca

• Direct and supervise all staff and responsibilities

• Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and parents of program participants

• Requires the ability to supervise, train and evaluate performance of class participants and instructors.

• Must have good organizational and planning skills and sound judgment.

Aid in member retention by being knowledgeable, caring, and friendly to all members.

• Any administrative duties as needed per program

• Ensure the safety of all participants of the program assigned

• Performs all other duties as assigned

The Gateway Region YMCA strictly follows a zero tolerance policy regarding child abuse.

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• At least one-year experience in assigned program

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be lifeguard certified

• Serves as a liaison to parents.

• Is readily available on the pool deck to answer questions and to watch series swim.

• Prepares class rosters and maintain originals for record keeping.

• Reports problems, complaints, or concerns of participants to the aquatic director

• Evaluates all swimmers and places in correct classes based on skill levels

• Maintains instructor-student ratios as set in program model.

• Completes evaluations on swim instructors and discusses with aquatic leadership.
