Debit Card Manager Claims is responsible for the day to day management of the Reg E Debit Card claims team. This includes supervision of 4 dispute analysts daily work flow, timely processing of claims in compliance with Federal Regulation E and Visa best practices. Preparation of month end claims statistics,
Managing staff of 4 debit card claims professionals.
Maintaining good, professional working relationship with internal partners, peers, subordinates and other department managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the day-to-day workflow-, including claims evaluation, customer service support for all Reg E Debit Card Claims
Monitoring personnel performance, training needs, counseling; Managing staff of 4 debit card claims professionals.
Ensuring provisional credit is applied to card holders timely in accordance with current Federal Regulation E requirements and Visa Network best practices
Provides recommendations on department efficiencies and stays engaged in any up-coming regulatory or network supported changes and requirements.
Provides support to Corporate Security where required
Provides month end and quarterly reports of Debit Card Claims performance
Perform other duties as assigned.
Directly responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating designated units or certain personnel in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; providing pay change recommendations; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for daily and monthly GL oversight and approval as well as month end management reporting.
Bachelor's Degree preferred and over 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in debit and/or credit card claims experience, with knowledge of regulation E, including two years prior management or supervisory experience
Operational management skills, extensive product knowledge, strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
