Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey is offering an exciting opportunity for an innovative, data-driven, and experienced higher education administrator with diverse experience and expertise in academic program administration for undergraduate, graduate, adult, and non-traditional students. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean for the School of Arts and Science provides visionary and entrepreneurial leadership in the growth and expansion of the university's academic programs.
S/he has oversight of the academic programming, support of faculty, staff, and students, and advocacy for the School of Arts and Sciences both within and outside the University. The Dean models, supports and promotes a deep appreciation for the mission and aspirations of Felician University, and plays an integral role in the retention and academic success of a diverse student population.

Required Education:
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in an Arts & Sciences discipline.
Qualifications:
Three+ years' of progressive leadership experience at the level of Associate Dean or its equivalent; successful record of decision-making, management, and administrative experience including setting priorities, managing diverse personnel and complex budgets; demonstrated understanding and experience with high-impact teaching and learning practices, including assessment of student learning. demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, transparency, and shared governance; proven experience in supporting and cultivating a distinguished, accomplished, and diverse faculty; ability to articulate the University's mission, goals, accomplishments, and needs to a broad range of external constituencies, including alumni, academic, government representatives, and business communities; proven record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and/or professional activity to meet the qualifications necessary for the faculty rank of associate or full professor; exemplary record of promoting scholarship and research; experience in recruiting and retaining students, advancing student success, and building academic excellence; superior communication and interpersonal skills and possess an outstanding record of leadership, advocacy, and community partnership; Proven experience with assessment and accreditation; demonstrated passion for facilitating the success of others, including faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders; demonstrated ability to lead by consensus and with transparency; demonstrated awareness of current local, national, and international opportunities in higher education; especially, use of technology and industrial partnership; possess the vision and ability to harness them to advance the progress of the college; demonstrated understanding of, commitment to and ability to support and promote the Felician/ Franciscan values and identity of Felician University.
