Dean of the School of Science, Technology and Health
Biola University seeks to hire a Dean of the School of Science, Technology and Health. The Dean of the School of Science, Technology, and Health serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the School and reports to the Provost.
The Dean will join a dynamic team of fellow deans from eight schools: The Crowell School of Business, The School of Education, Talbot School of Theology, Rosemead School of Psychology, The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, The School of Cinema and Media Arts, and the Cook School of Intercultural Studies. This hands-on Dean will be charged with harnessing the momentum and enthusiasm catalyzed by the unparalleled growth and vibrancy experienced in the School over the past several years. This academic leader will provide strategic, collaborative leadership, promoting the importance of STEM development throughout the University and representing the School's department and programs to both internal and external audiences.
Biola is positioned for unprecedented leadership opportunities in national conversations involving science and faith. The new leader must be a person who empowers and ensures the spiritual and academic success of students and faculty in several growing departments.
With the recent investment in outstanding faculty and facilities, the Dean will be expected to advance the priority of increasing research productivity and funding. The Dean will oversee strategic planning, advancement, and budget development while guiding resource allocation, research, service, outreach, and administration.
