Minneapolis College is currently seeking a full-time, unlimited Dean of the School of Information Technology and Math and Sciences in the MnSCU Administrator 6 classification. The individual in this position provides leadership, direction and administrative support to the School of Mathematics and Science and the School of Information Technology. The individual in this position participates as part of a team to provide an innovative climate for programs targeted at career and technical education, adult learner education, community outreach and other educational training needs of the community.
Responsibilities of this position include supervising and evaluating instructional programs, courses and personnel in assigned areas; providing division-wide strategic leadership for general education and related initiatives; preparing and administering budgets; providing necessary services to students in areas of responsibility; maintaining relationships with faculty, community agencies advisory committees, businesses and other groups; direct public relations, publicity, and other communications systems; and participating in other college administrative activities.
This position ensures that Minneapolis College's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is reflected in staffing and in the content of the instructional programs and courses.
This position may be eligible for partial telework in accordance with Minneapolis College's telework guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Ability to accurately assess emerging college, business and/or community needs for the purpose of cost-effective program development and implementation.
Experience in managerial and human relations skills; entrepreneurial skills and abilities.
Skills in building and maintaining collaborative relationships, especially with people from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporates culturally responsive practices,and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.
Knowledge of innovative curriculum and pedagogy and best practices in faculty professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) disciplines.
Knowledge of community and technical college organization, curriculum, goals, vision; system regulations and contracts; fiscal regulations and procedures.

Salary Range:
Placement within the salary range for the MnSCU Administrator 6 classification is determined on the basis of relevant experience and in accordance with the 2023 - 2025 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Personnel Plan for Administrators. Range midpoint is $121,275.
