Dean Of Student Experiences: Assistant Principal

Randolph Union Middle High School is located in the heart of Vermont and serves the communities of Braintree, Brookfield, and Randolph, VT as well as many other communities that have school choice and choose RU as their middle high school. Our communities all have their own unique characteristics which makes our school, a place where this uniqueness converges, a special school community to be a part of.

We are seeking an Associate Principal: Dean of Student Experiences to join our team. An ideal candidate will have a strong belief that every student can succeed and will be a collaborative problem solver in addition to:

An ability to develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with students, staff, and families
Ability to collaboratively plan and implement professional development to promote understanding and implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (through an equity lens) as well as trauma informed practice and community development
Demonstrate a strong facilitation skill set that includes effective communication, collaboration, and engagement strategies to develop greater understanding and a sense of community
Ability to hold students accountable for their behavior through restorative practices and more traditional discipline practices
Ability to facilitate student leadership groups and foster a sense of purpose and belonging among our student population
A willingness to collaborate with a variety of audiences and take feedback from those audiences to inform work within a strong distributive leadership environment
Hold or be eligible to hold a Vermont Educator Licence with a Principal endorsement
