Position: Dean of Operations
Reports to: Principal
The Dean of Operations is an important member of the management team of the School. The position is responsible for managing multiple aspects of school functions as well as the Aftercare Program.
The positions work location is at the School, and required work hours are those of the School, unless otherwise specified by the Principal of the School. It is a salaried non-exempt position.
Essential Job Responsibilities include:
Oversee day-to-day functions of the running of the school in support of the Principal.
Assist with managing attendance, VPK requirements, substitute teachers, student data, report cards, and other systems as required to ensure the school is functioning in an efficient and productive manner
Manage all aspects of the schools aftercare program to include scheduling, student issues, billing oversight, budgeting, and supplies. These responsibilities include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance.
Interact with faculty, parents, students and other guests in a cheerful, courteous and highly professional manner.
Manage calendar and scheduling of appointments for Principal
Manage all incoming requests and determine appropriate level of access to the school administration, dealing with various situations independently when possible
Ensure completion of administrative and clerical functions as directed by administration
Work collaboratively with administrative team and faculty
Maintain a professional, organized and efficient workflow and atmosphere despite frequent distraction and interruption
Supervise all aftercare employees
Other duties as assigned
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Is physically able to perform all functions of job, which might include walking around campus and attending school events

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with good phone etiquette;
Understands importance of confidentiality with all: parents, staff and students.
Can express self in writing; competent with letter writing, English grammar and composition
Has excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook
Demonstrates outstanding time management and organizational skills
Can work independently and determine priority levels with little direction when necessary
Demonstrates positive leadership skills, instilling joy in all which occurs on campus
