ATS Institute Of Technology has been successfully helping students achieve their educational goals since 1998. Accredited nationally by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). We are currently seeking a Dean of Nursing to lead our team of motivated and passionate professionals. The campus is located in downtown Chicago near Millennium park, conveniently situated right next to multiple transit systems that all provide commuter students, faculty and staff convenient access to the campus. This position represents a unique opportunity to join the College as it strategically pivots to a focus on new age and innovative approaches to Nursing education with a commitment to educate students in an evidence based and clinical reasoning environment. This person will provide strategic leadership and promote a culture of excellence to engage faculty, staff, and students in the continuous improvement of the educational experience. This Dean will develop, execute, and manage College success initiatives through measurable results and performance indicators.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the accomplishment of long-range planning for the program
  • Facilitate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Practical Nursing Program curriculum and course content in accordance with the national standards and community needs
  • Responsible for implementing and evaluating program and course outcomes, curriculum development, program evaluation, and budget planning
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly qualified faculty, promotes professional development and supervision
  • Plan and lead Program Advisory Board meetings
  • Prepares required reports, analyzes data to determine student progress and related data to make recommendations for process improvements
  • Develops relationships and maintain effective communication with faculty, staff, students, and all 3rd party agencies
  • Implement faculty orientation to provide new faculty with essential information and review College policies related to teaching
  • Create and maintain an environment conducive to teaching and learning
  • Supervise and evaluate program faculty
  • Monitor student progress and competency based on program philosophy and objectives
  • Prepare reports necessary for continued approval or accreditation of the Practical Nursing Program
  • Evaluate and recommend textbooks, reference books and other teaching materials
  • Provide opportunities for student and graduate for evaluation of curriculum, teaching and program effectiveness
  • Plan and attend graduation and other events
  • Maintains professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs and academic courses
  • All other duties as assigned

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited College or University

Nursing Licence in Illinois

5 years related experience in a College or University setting

Knowledge of trends and developments in nursing education

Proficiency in the use of research and information technologies

Experience with strategic communication, strong management skills, and the ability to relate effectively with a diverse group of people

Impeccable judgement and integrity

Academic and administrative excellence, growth and financial leadership are top priorities. The Associate Campus Dean supports the Campus Dean to lead the campus efforts at academic planning, human resource development, provision of resources, alliance-building, accreditation and compliance, institutional planning and research, and productivity measurement and improvement. The Associate Campus Dean is expected to be a strong communicator and leader on campus, within the school and in the community. The Associate Campus Dean will perform a wide variety of tasks to ensure effective and efficient campus operations and administration. Additionally, they will support leadership in monitoring and directing the flow of services to all students, faculty, and staff to ensure operational procedures are being followed and seek improvement and advisement regarding those procedures throughout the entire campus operation. The position serves as an evening and weekend resource to external and internal constituent groups as required. The Associate Campus Dean is also responsible for collaborating with the Campus Dean to play a key leadership role in managing the P&L. The Associate Campus Dean will report to the Campus Dean and maintain a strong relationship with Campus level admissions, Department Chairs, Department Managers, Student Support Counselor staff, executive cabinet members, and other administration/operations staff. Principle Duties: * Support development and promote long and short range goals for the campus * In collaboration with Campus Dean, ensure quality academics in all aspects of teaching and learning (curriculum, delivery models, student learning outcomes) * Allocate operational resources to best support the academic goals of the campus * Support the Campus Dean in the overall strategic operational processes for the campus by working with vice presidents, chairs, faculty, and major committees to assure the delivery of high quality academic services at the campus level. * In collaboration with the Campus Dean and Department Chairs, work to develop effective grassroots recruitment strategies to grow enrollment * Assist the Campus Dean to plan and administer the campus annual budget, manage the revenues of the operation, and control the expenses * Support the Campus Dean to oversee and deliver desired campus financial results, ensuring the campus grows revenues and operating surplus according to approved budgets and long range plans * Assist the Campus Dean in the management of student receivables, timely cash flow and accurate forecasting of financial results * Access needs for campus resources and ensure that resources are planned for, acquired, and properly implemented * Assist in implementing annual and organizational goals in a manner than ensures the campus' fiscal and operational success. * Ensure effective campus operations (including evening, residencies, and weekend activities), and recommend operational improvements to the Campus Dean. * Build and maintain a climate of operational excellence, professional integrity, and, in doing so, support a climate of academic excellence.
