We're looking for a dedicated Dean of Graduate Studies and Special Education Program Chair to join our Online Campus and work in collaboration with the Campus President to advance Remington College's mission and goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for graduate education at the institution.

  • Oversee the development and enhancement of graduate programs, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and academic standards.

  • Monitor and assess the quality and effectiveness of graduate programs.

  • Facilitate the development and approval of new graduate programs and courses.

  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide support and resources for faculty involved in graduate education, including professional development.

  • Advocate for and support graduate students, addressing their needs and concerns and ensuring a positive and productive academic experience.

  • Helps to develop the curriculum for his or her department.

  • Assists in the recruitment, orientation, and training of faculty.

  • Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, discipline, or any other change of status for an employee under his or her direct supervision to the Campus President; suggestions and recommendations are given particular weight.

  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to specific subject matter areas under his or her administrative guidance.

  • Assists in organizing student orientations and graduation ceremonies and participates in such activities.

  • Assists in organizing Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings in his or her department and attends such meetings.

  • Monitors students' attendance and attrition.

  • Controls attrition for his or her department.

  • Researches and implements technological changes in his or her field.

  • Supervises, coordinates, and customarily and regularly directs the work of all employees in his or her academic program.

  • Provides assistance and support to the Campus President in the implementation of academic program objectives and for positive outcomes.

  • Teaches courses as required.

  • Travels as required.

  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience Needed:

  • Must have a Doctorate in special education or related field.

  • Must have at least 4 years of experience in K-12 special education

  • Higher education teaching experience required.
