Position Title: Dean - Lexington High School Reports to and evaluated by:

High School Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month ALA - Category I, 40 hours per week. Salary: Salary is commensurate with educational attainment and experience as specified by the Association of Lexington Administrators (ALA) Salary Schedule Category I. Salary and days may be prorated based on date of hire.

Monitor the academic and social progress of students (caseload of approximately 450-550 students) Monitor student attendance, behavior, and graduation requirements Manage student interventions and discipline (experience with Restorative Justice practices preferred) Chair weekly Student Success Team meetings to monitor students' academic and social progress Oversee day-to-day supervision of the campus and school functions Facilitate communication between educators, students and parents Supervise and evaluate faculty and certified staff Develop the Faculty Handbook and Student/Parent Handbook in conjunction with Administrative Team Act as instructional leader to promote the individual and collective growth of the faculty and staff Act as administrative liaison to the Intensive Learning Program Act as administrative liaison to LHS Clubs and Activities Manage other projects as needed by the principal. Job Qualifications: Must be Certified or certifiable as Principal/Assistant Principal, in 9-12 by Massachusetts DESE, hold a Master's degree in Educational Administration, or be able to demonstrate commensurate knowledge, have high school teaching experience, school administration/instructional leadership experience preferred; Leadership ability in school administration, curriculum development, program evaluation, staff development, school improvement, and staff supervision and evaluation; Must have demonstrated organizational skills, educational leadership and creative problem solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and, the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks, including the ability to prioritize, manage and organize own workload.
